General Observations-Loading Process
- The
children gathered and waited in the cafeteria.
- There
was plenty of storage space for the queue.
- Tags
hung on the rear view mirror to identify the children.
- Cars
started arriving ½ hour early.
- Video
camera began at 2:45.
- The
children didn’t come out until 3:04.
- There
was a teacher with a walkie-talkie calling out the numbers of the cars to
the cafeteria.
- There
were 5 bay areas although they were not clearly demarcated.
- No one
escorted the children to their cars.
- There
were two carpools that are interchanged for bus and car riders on mornings
and afternoons.
- 4/5
cars loaded at a time.
- One
person directing walkers at the intersection of Wildwood Forest Rd and
Sand Bar Rd.
General Observations-Queuing Process
- Lot of
storage space. In spite of this, the queue reached almost the end of
storage i.e the intersection of Wildwood Forest Rd and Sand Bar Rd.
- Almost
3/4 cars waited for making a left-turn on Wildwood at peak.
