General Observations-Loading Process

 

• All the children waiting to be picked up sat in a painted yellow triangle in the bay area.
• There was some double parking going on in the parking lot by parents walking to get their children.
• There was a large bay area, but it was not clearly demarcated.
• Lots of cars (~10) parked out on the main road.  Some walked down the sidewalk and picked up children.
• Several parents parked in the reserved spots.
• Lots of parents waited at the front door for their children to come out.
• Announcements started at 3:40.
• Weatherstone had staggered dismissals (i.e. walkers and bike riders left early)
• Safety Patrol escorted children to their cars.
• Parents tried to park the wrong way in the traffic circle.
• Parked car blocked the way for a brief period of time during the pick up.
