General Observations-Loading Process

 

• The children sat on benches in the bay area.
• A parked postal van blocked the through lane for a time during the pick up.
• News channel 11 was conducting interviews of parents in their cars.
• There were 3 teachers and safety patrol on duty.
• Cars in double lane picked up children.
• The whole process seemed chaotic compared to other schools.
• There was a teacher with a megaphone who called out the names of the children who were being picked up at the appropriate time.
• 4/5 cars loaded at a time.

 

General Observations-Queuing Process

 

• Spilling on Fayetteville St from 3:42pm to 3:45pm – 3minutes.
• Intersection of Fayetteville St and entrance has many conflicts. Buses are lined on Fayetteville St and cars are trying to enter/exit at the entrance.
