Children
sat on sidewalk in the bay area and several teachers supervised the
loading process.
Kindergarteners
waited in the playground adjacent to the bay area.
The
camera was started at 2:20pm.
A couple
of parents came very early and backed into visitor spots waiting for their
children in order to make a fast getaway when the bell rang. And it worked well.
Several
parents came and picked up their children early.
At
2:38 the children were released and the bays were set up.
There
were five bays (demarcated by cones), but they were too close together and
only three cars could fit at once into the bay.
There
were a lot of walkers through the bay area (they were released earlier
than the car pool children), and they were unsupervised as they walked
through.
The
policeman who usually helps was late, but he stood out at the school
entrance directing traffic and helping children and parents across the
street. (intersection of Hopkins Ave and MacLean St)
3 cars
loaded at a time.
