General Observations-Loading Process
- Kindergarteners
and First Graders came out separately and waited at the playground
adjacent to the bay area.
- The
rest of the children waited outside the bay area on the sidewalk.
- Cars
start lining up ½ hour early.
- Children
were escorted by teachers to their cars.
- Approximately
forty kids walked over to the day care which was across the street.
- Several
children left 15-20 minutes early.
- There
was no demarcation for bay areas.
The bay was the sidewalk outside the school.
- Lots
of pedestrians crossed through active traffic lanes during the pick-up
time.
- Approximately
2 cars loaded at a time.
General Observations-Queuing Process
- Spillage
prevented by many cars entering parking instead of the queue.
