Jeffrey’s
Grove loaded seven cars at a time, which helped the whole process go a lot
faster than it would have.We were
told that we had come on an abnormally light day.
Teachers
with microphones called out the names of the children who were waiting
underneath the overhang.They
didn’t use a number system because they said it was harder for the
children to pay attention to numbers versus their names and because the
younger children never could remember their numbers.
Car
riders were dismissed earlier than bus riders and walkers.
The
children were not escorted to their cars and there was no safety patrol.
Parking
lots were blocked off to prevent cars from entering the loading zone from
parking.
