The
children were lined up under the overhang in the same order as were the
cars in the queue.
There
were four clearly demarcated bays. Each bay was marked by paint on the sidewalk. They were also appropriately spaced so
that one car could fit in each marked bay.
The
dismissal times for the children were staggered (i.e. bus riders, car
riders and walkers all were dismissed at different times.)
A
teacher goes along the queue and writes down the names of the parents.
There
was another teacher with a microphone and speaker who called out the name
of the children.
There
were 6 safety patrol kids present in the bay area.A few of them were in training. They were involved in escorting and also
opened the car doors for the children.
