Conference Materials

Community Transportation Association of America Conferences

Presentations were made at a couple of conferences of the Community Transportation Association of America, one in Fort Lauderdale, Florida and one in Salt Lake City, Utah. Participants from each conference requested for copies of presentations and files which are still available on this Web site. Documents from the presentation on Low-Tech/No-Tech Solutions and course materials from the Salt Lake City, Utah conference are examples for you to use when creating your own, agency specific low-tech solution. View explanation on how to use these files archived on this Web site. Contact Debbie Collins if you are not able to download or open the zipped file and would like a files e-mailed to you.

North Carolina Public Transportation Association Conference

The North Carolina Public Transportation Association (NCPTA) held its annual conference May 1-3, 2006, in Wilmington, North Carolina. The conference theme, "Preparing to Meet the Challenge" was held for transportation professionals, planners and community leaders who were coming together to learn and share ideas on how to plan for the future of public transportation in North Carolina.

NCPTA Conference materials and presentations are available for download and viewing from this Web site's presentation archives. Contact Debbie Collins if you are not able to download or read the presentations.

Transit Information Program (TrIP) Software

The Transit Information Programs known as TrIP software are Microsoft Access databases designed to help your transportation agency store and report vital operational data. These low-cost solutions can help track vehicles, employees, training, clients, customer feedback, accidents, and help schedule trips and create driver manifests. Currently, there are five TrIP databases. The programs were created in Microsoft Access and are ODBC compliant to make an easy to use digital database for transportation groups. They are fitted with numerous report options to analyze the data and with a function that allows reports to be e-mailed to interested parties by pressing one button. These templates represent progress towards the goal of moving transit groups to paperless record-keeping. Learn More about TrIP products or how to get training for the TrIP products.
