Submission Deadline Extended for the Context Sensitive Solutions National Dialog!
FHWA and CTE are partnering in a project to initiate a national dialog about Context Sensitive Solutions (CSS). Learn about the Dialog and how to submit your project, plan or program at the CSS National Dialog site. The Dialog is accepting submissions of CSS best practices to feature at a series of one-day workshops to be held in various locations across the US. The deadline for submissions has been extended through July 31, 2009.

CTE Student of the Year
Daniel Findley was chosen as the CTE Student of the Year for 2008. He was recognized at the annual awards banquet for the Council for University Transportation Centers (CUTC) held January 2009 in Washington, DC. Read more...
National Broadcast Series/CTE Webcasts
CTE presented Transportation and Climate Change: Time to Think, Plan, Mitigate, and Adapt, a National Broadcast Series live teleconference, on December 3, 2008. CTE produces an annual series of nationally televised satellite/Web broadcasts featuring expert panel discussions on emerging research and policy issues in the transportation/environmental field.

EPA Air Quality Broadcasts
CTE is pleased to host the US Environmental Protection Agency Air Quality Broadcasts. These video programs include the recent December 2008 broadcast on Lead National Ambient Air Quality Standards Update.
Washington Wildlife Crossings Field Course
CTE recently co-hosted the Washington Wildlife Crossings Field Course, conducted in Roslyn, Washington in June 2008 . The field course is designed to be complementary to ICOET and provide an additional education forum for attendees of both conferences and new attendees alike. CTE provided video documentation, online registration, and Web site support. A summary of the course proceedings is available.
Context Sensitive Solutions
Developed first for the NC Department of Transportation, Context Sensitive Solutions is a classroom-based training program distinctive in both its range and depth. CTE training covers Context Sensitive Solutions for transportation planning, project development and design, right of way, construction, operations and management.
