The training provided by the Service Bureau is primarily geared towards expanding the pool of model users at the stakeholder agencies and the University of North Carolina (UNC) system at large. Training can consist of workshops on model development, how to use the model, how it is calibrated, how to interpret the results, etc. Training is also provided through intern positions where graduate students learn how the model works and assist in updates to the model. This effort is intended to begin the process of developing a larger pool of individuals in the region with hands-on modeling experience.
General travel demand modeling training and workshops, in addition to other transportation planning topics, are available upon request and can be designed to meet the specific needs of your agency. Please contact Leta Huntsinger for further details. |
