Bicycle and Pedestrian Program Training
A key goal of the Bicycle and Pedestrian Program is to provide workshops and courses specifically tailored to the biking/pedestrian planning and management professionals. Sessions provided recently include:
- Bicycle Planning and Design;
- Pedestrian Planning and Design;
- Designing Facilities for Pedestrian Accessibility;
- NCDOT’s Safe Routes to School Community Workshop;
- Pedestrian Road Safety Audits;
- Bicycle and Pedestrian Planning Strategies: From SAFETEA-LU to Safe Routes to School;
- How to Develop a Pedestrian Safety Action Plan; and
- Safe Routes to School Informational Workshop (regional).
Courses and availability will be posted here so check back often.
The Bicycle and Pedestrian Program also participates as a site location for select Webinars (online seminars) on appropriate hot topics related to bicycle and pedestrian transportation. Many of these Webinars are produced by the Association of Pedestrian and Bicycle Professionals (APBP) or the America Walks’ Safe Routes Coaching Action Network (SRCAN).
