Technical Assistance Projects

ITRE provides quality end products and technical support which improve the transportation systems of the region and nation. ITRE plays a leading role in helping government agencies assess and apply new transportation technologies through a broad spectrum of technical activities such as:

  • Development and implementation of travel demand forecasting models
  • Implementation of school bus routing and scheduling
  • Development of customized GIS technical applications
  • Assistance with transportation related conferences and seminars
  • Facilitation of high-tech forums and national satellite broadcasts
  • Preparation of specifications for vehicles and advanced and advanced Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS)
  • Implementation of mathematical models for improving decision-making in educational institutions and in state and local governmental agencies
