JANUARY -- A study by ITRE's OR/Ed. Lab has been chosen for publication in the prestigious Transportation Research Record: Journal of the Transportation Research Board. ITRE Organizes and Participates in U.S.-Portuguese Transportation Symposium
Institute for Transportation Research and Education (ITRE) Director Nagui Rouphail traveled to Portugal to participate in the formation of the Luso-American Transportation Impacts Study Group (LATIS-G). The purpose of this group is to identify and discuss priority topics related to transportation systems impacts in the United States and Portugal. Dr. H. Christopher Frey, professor of Environmental Engineering at NC State was also a member of the U.S. team and LATIS-G.

ITRE Director Visits South Korea for Research, Reunion and Recruitment
Nagui Rouphail, director of the Institute for Transportation Research and Education, traveled to South Korea recently to make a number of presentations as well as reunite with two ITRE-supported Ph.D. graduates from NC State.
