Operations Research/Education Lab paper published in TRR Journal

JANUARY -- A study by ITRE's OR/Ed. Lab has been chosen for publication in the prestigious Transportation Research Record: Journal of the Transportation Research Board. The paper demonstrates how the the Lab's data-drive decision science tools will help a growing North Carolina county meet school population challenges over the next 20 years. ITRE Test Drives the eGo

The Institute for Transportation Research and Education (ITRE) has been given the opportunity to use an electric scooter called the eGO. This running emission-free and nearly silent vehicle can travel more than 20 miles on a single charge, or the equivalent of 800 miles a gallon. More »



ITRE Organizes and Participates in U.S.-Portuguese Transportation Symposium

Institute for Transportation Research and Education (ITRE) Director Nagui Rouphail traveled to Portugal to participate in the formation of the Luso-American Transportation Impacts Study Group (LATIS-G). The purpose of this group is to identify and discuss priority topics related to transportation systems impacts in the United States and Portugal. Dr. H. Christopher Frey, professor of Environmental Engineering at NC State was also a member of the U.S. team and LATIS-G.
