One of ITRE's main missions is to conduct training programs. New policies, design standards, analysis methodologies, research results, experimental products, etc., are constantly being introduced to the transportation profession. It is incumbent upon each of us to maintain current knowledge about our profession so we can be as technically competent and efficient in our work as possible.
The Highway Systems Group offers training and professional development specifically to NCDOT employees as well as to the general public. The training we provide for NCDOT employees includes the Highway Engineering Course (HEC) and the Fundamentals of Engineering Program (FEP).
