Speaker Biographies - Jason Smith
Jason Smith began his career with Washington State Department of Transportation shortly after he graduated from Central Washington University with a degree in Resource Management specializing in Botany and Environmental Studies. Prior to joining the I-90 Snoqualmie Pass East project in 1998, Jason was an environmental consultant, WSDOT Assistant Environmental Manager and the Project Delivery Manager for the Multi-Agency Permitting Team. His current role as Environmental Manger on the I-90 Project team includes managing the operation of the extensive environmental program. Jason enjoys working on this project because of its unique location, between the steep mountain slopes of the Cascades and Keechelus Lake Reservoir, and the numerous challenges it represents.
